On the afternoon of December 28, T.H.D Secondary School (An Thanh Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province) is coordinating with the police to clarify the case of a group of students making homemade firecrackers, one student's hand was blown off.
Initial information, at around 11am on December 27, people in Cau Trang area, An Thanh ward heard a very loud explosion on the riverbank. When people went out to see, they discovered smoke rising, a group of students running around in chaos.
One of the students fainted after running a short distance. He was later taken to the hospital with a crushed hand.

On the afternoon of December 28, speaking to reporters, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Thuan An city said that according to the school's report, the injured student was N.A.K (grade 9 student), currently being treated at the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital.
T.H.D Secondary School has assigned teachers to monitor, visit and grasp the situation.
It is known that the incident happened after finishing the first semester exam, student N.A.K and a group of friends went home to play and bought mixtures to make fireworks at K's house. After finishing the fireworks, they took them to the riverbank to test, unfortunately the fireworks exploded and crushed their hands.
The leader of the Department of Education and Training of Thuan An city said that he has directed all schools in the area, requesting school principals to strengthen education and control, not allowing students to make their own fireworks and set off fireworks in violation of regulations.
