Previously, Hai Duong voters proposed that the Ministry of Transport speed up the construction of National Highway 5 in Hai Duong province to soon stabilize people's lives and travel.
Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport said that according to the report of the Hai Duong Department of Transport in Official Dispatch No. 4023/SGTVT-P4 dated November 26, 2024, currently on National Highway 5 through Hai Duong province, there are a number of projects to build service roads invested by the locality as follows:
The Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Service Road Construction Investment Project, Kim Thanh District, with a total length of L = 3.97km, on the right side of National Highway 5, includes 5 discontinuous sections, passing through the communes of Tuan Viet, Kim Xuyen, Phuc Thanh, Kim Lien in Kim Thanh District. The project is invested by the Hai Duong Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project started in March 2024, currently the output has reached about 40%, expected to be completed in January 2025.
The project to construct some sections of the northern frontage road of National Highway 5, with a total length of about 7.622km, passes through the communes of Cong Hoa, Co Dung, Tuan Viet, Kim Xuyen and Phuc Thanh in Kim Thanh district. The project is invested by the Hai Duong Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project is in the stage of preparing a feasibility study report, expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2025.
The project to construct a feeder road along National Highway 5 through Cam Giang district, with a total length of about 2.48km. The project is invested by the Hai Duong Construction Investment Project Management Board, and is in the stage of preparing a feasibility study report, and is expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2025.
The Hanoi - Hai Phong railway feeder road construction project through Kim Thanh district, with a total length of about 6,003km. The project is invested by the Kim Thanh District Construction Investment Project Management Board, is in the stage of preparing a feasibility study report, and is expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2025.
The Ministry of Transport requested the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province to consult with the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to direct the Departments, Boards, Branches, and Investors to speed up the implementation of the above projects.
At the same time, the Ministry of Transport will direct the Vietnam Road Administration and relevant agencies to continue to closely coordinate with the Investor in resolving tasks under the authority, functions and tasks of the Ministry, speed up the implementation of tasks and soon complete the construction of works to put them into operation to serve the travel needs of the people.
