According to information from Hai Duong Provincial Police on December 24, while waiting to find a job in Binh Giang District, Hai Duong Province, Tan Lao Ta (born in 2005, in Ban Trung Ho, Sin Suoi Ho Commune, Phong Tho District, Lai Chau Province) rented a room and then illegally produced firecrackers to burn during Tet. Ta's actions were immediately discovered and arrested by Binh Giang District Police.
Accordingly, from December 14 to December 15, in room 301 of Hoang Anh motel (in Trung area, Ke Sat town, Binh Giang district), Tan Lao Ta used materials including firecrackers, paper, 502 glue, fuse, scissors, chopsticks, and plastic spoons to make firecrackers. At about 11:35 a.m. on December 15, Ta brought 9.305 kg of self-made firecrackers to Toan Gia 1 urban area, in Trung area, Ke Sat town to hide, but was checked and discovered by the police force (The seized evidence included a black backpack containing 22 red firecrackers and 10 white firecrackers).
Conducting a search at room 301 of Hoang Anh motel (where Ta rented a room), the authorities seized a number of finished fireworks; a number of tools, equipment and precursors for the production of fireworks. The total amount of fireworks seized was 10.137 kg.
At the police station, Ta confessed that the raw materials to produce firecrackers (firecracker powder, wrapping paper, fuses) were purchased from a man he did not know when Ta came to Hai Duong to find work.
After completing the file, on December 20, the Investigation Police Agency initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and detained Tan Lao Ta for 3 months for the crime of producing prohibited goods, while continuing to investigate and clarify for handling according to the provisions of law.
