Integrating legal propaganda with life skills education, on the morning of May 13, Ngo Van So Secondary School (Lao Cai ward) coordinated with the Police force and local organizations to organize a propaganda program on drug prevention and control and drowning for all school students.

Attending the program were Major Cao Trung Khanh - representative of Lao Cai Ward Police; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Deo - Head of Residential Group No. 17; representatives of the Parents' Association and a collective of 54 officials, teachers, staff and 1,024 students of the school.
At the propaganda session, students were disseminated many practical contents related to the harmful effects of drugs, e-cigarettes, and disguised stimulants that are tending to creep into the school environment.
Through visual and close examples, the Police force has helped students identify violations of the law, and raise awareness of self-protection against the risks of social evils.

In addition to propagating legal knowledge, the program also focuses on equipping students with skills to prevent and handle situations.
Students are instructed on how to refuse invitations and enticing to use stimulants; and at the same time raise vigilance when participating in extracurricular activities.
The content of drowning prevention propaganda implemented by the School Team also received positive responses from students. Knowledge about recognizing dangerous areas, safety principles when playing near rivers, streams, ponds and lakes, and drowning accident handling skills are vividly and easily conveyed, suitable for the age group.
This is the time when students are preparing to enter summer vacation - a period of potential risk of injury if there is no care, supervision and necessary self-defense skills.

Within the framework of the program, representatives of the school, the Police force and local authorities jointly signed a commitment to build a safe, healthy, and drug-free school environment.
The activity demonstrates close coordination between families, schools and society in protecting and caring for students.
Through the program, many meaningful messages about building "A Drug-Free School", raising awareness of law compliance and self-protection skills have been spread to students, contributing to building a safe and happy educational environment.
