Mother died early, father went to work far away, two sisters Pham Bao Tram and Pham Anh Thu in Lam Loc Nam village, Son Tinh commune, Quang Ngai province had to live with elderly grandparents. The family was difficult, at one point the children thought about dropping out of school to help relatives. However, since being sponsored by the Military Command of Son Tinh commune, the lives of the two sisters have gradually changed.

Thanks to the support of 1 million VND per month, Tram's sisters have the conditions to buy books, cover tuition fees and continue to go to school. Not only material support, but also sincere words of encouragement and advice from officers and soldiers have become a spiritual support, helping them to be more confident in the future.
Soldiers always encourage me to try harder in my studies. I feel like they are my parents, helping me have more motivation to go to class," Tram confided.
Major Bui The Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Son Tinh commune, Quang Ngai province, said that the monthly support gifts contribute to adding motivation to disadvantaged children, especially orphans and those who lack shelter, thereby striving to rise up in their studies and life.
The "Parental Support" model is being replicated and spread strongly in many localities in the province. Like the case of Nguyen Thi Dieu Huyen in Tho Phong commune, orphaned of her mother, and suffering from congenital heart disease. Understanding her situation, officers and soldiers of the Military Command of Tho Phong commune have agreed to sponsor, helping Huyen have more support to overcome difficulties and continue to go to school.
Lieutenant Colonel Tu Thai Duong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Tho Phong commune, Quang Ngai province, said that the support funds are mobilized from the contributions of party members in the Party cell, deducting a part to help difficult families, including Huyen's family. The sponsorship model will be maintained until she reaches 18 years old.
Currently, the "Parents" model of Military Commands at commune level in Quang Ngai is supporting 11 poor, orphaned students to overcome adversity. Through this meaningful model, the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" continues to be nurtured and spread in the hearts of the people, contributing to strengthening the increasingly strong military-civilian relationship.
Colonel Trinh Cong Son, Deputy Political Commissar of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command, said that in the coming time, the model will continue to be replicated in agencies and units under the provincial armed forces, in order to improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, contributing to building a strong all-people national defense posture in the new situation.
