Opening the program, teacher To Nhu shared about memories associated with the image of the lotus flower - a symbol of Dong Thap land. This is not only a place where she used to study but also a source of inspiration to nurture her dream of becoming a teacher. Although currently working in Ho Chi Minh City, for the past 7 years, she has regularly traveled between the two places to directly support difficult circumstances, playing the role of a "bridge" connecting kind hearts.
The turning point in Ms. To Nhu's charity journey began in 2019 when she joined Nhat Tam group. With the role in the steering committee of the scholarship program, she and her members built an operating environment based on values: responsibility, kindness and sincerity. The group not only provides material support to poor students and lonely elderly people but also brings spiritual encouragement, helping them have more strength to rise up.
One of her special keepsakes is a notebook commemorating the 10th anniversary of the group's establishment, where dozens of stories and messages from members as well as children who have been helped are kept. That is a great source of motivation to help her overcome moments of fatigue to continue the journey of sharing.
At the program, many touching stories were recounted, such as the case of two orphaned twin brothers who were supported in their studies and now became third-year students. Or a young child suffering from a dangerous disease that seemed unlikely to survive, now healthy and returning to school. For Ms. To Nhu, those smiles are the simplest but most precious miracle.
Closing the program, the message of kindness was sent by her: every small action can become a "seed" spreading goodness if nurtured by responsibility and love.
