On August 17, Phu Tho Provincial Police said that the Thung Nai Commune Police Youth Union is maintaining the effectiveness of the "Recycled House" model.
The model turns plastic bottles, cans of water, scrap paper, cardboard... thought to be discarded into funds to serve social security activities in the locality.
At the Thung Nai Commune Police headquarters, scrap materials that can be recycled and generated during daily work and activities are proactively collected by officers and soldiers.
Instead of being dumped with domestic waste, plastic bottles, cans of water, and waste paper are sorted and collected at the "Recyclable House".
After that, the scrap was sold for fundraising. The funding was used for activities to visit and encourage difficult circumstances in the area.
The special feature of the model is that the scrap source is collected directly from the commune police officers and soldiers.
Each person proactively keeps plastic bottles and cans of water after use; sorts paper, cardboard and recyclable items instead of throwing them away.
Small pieces of scrap accumulated over time, thereby forming a meaningful fund.
The fund is used to support poor households, families in particularly difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people and those in need of help.
