On May 23, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that, implementing Resolution No. 51-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on building "drug-free communes and wards", grassroots police forces have proactively advised local Party committees and authorities to deploy many models suitable to the reality of each area.
In Lao Chai commune, the commune police have just launched the "Lighting up Belief" model in Co De Sang A village to support people after detoxification to reintegrate into the community, stabilize their lives and avoid relapse.
The model's operating board consists of 14 members with the participation of unions and local people.
In the program, the police force propagated the harms of drugs, mobilized people to raise awareness of prevention, actively denounce crimes and join hands to build a drug-free commune.

Previously, Ban Lau Commune Police coordinated to launch the "No Drug School - Wings for the Future" model at Muong Khuong High School No. 2 with the participation of more than 500 students and teachers.
The model aims to build a safe school environment, enhance the responsibility of schools, families and society in managing and educating students; promptly prevent violations of the law on drugs.

At the same time, Xuan Quang Commune Police also launched a model to maintain "Drug-Free Village" in Can Ho village, mobilizing people to participate in maintaining security and order, not allowing drug evils to arise in the area.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, the construction and replication of drug prevention and control models at the grassroots level is contributing to promoting the strength of the entire people in fighting and preventing crime, and maintaining peace in the area.
