Artist Hung Ro opened a solo exhibition called "Rebirth". This is the first time he has introduced a series of lacquer paintings, marking an important change in his career after many years of working with oil paint and acrylic.
The exhibition displays 19 works, focusing on two main themes: nature and religion. The paintings were nurtured by Hung Ro for 5 years, expressing his desire to bring Vietnamese lacquer paintings closer to the public in contemporary language. Lotus flowers, Buddha statues and phoenixes are the main materials in this composition.

According to the artist, the name Tai Sinh originates from the life cycle of lotus flowers: sprouting, blooming, fading and then reviving. From there, he expanded his inspiration to phoenixes - a symbol of transformation, destruction and regeneration. The highlight of the exhibition is the Fire phoenix, a metaphor for her artistic journey: "burning" pain to brighten up in a new look.

Hung Ro, real name Nguyen Manh Hung, was born in 1984 in Phu Tho, graduated from the Central University of Art Pedagogy 2008 and Vietnam University of Fine Arts (2012). He is known as a face of contemporary painting with his own style, having collaborated with Johnnie Walker Blue Label in the made of Depth art project in 2023.

The Re pitch Exhibition takes place at B Space Art Gallery (HCMC) and will last until the end of October 2025.
