On August 29, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Museum - Library of Con Dao (HCMC) in collaboration with the Pleiku Museum (Gia Lai province) held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Gia Lai - Cultural Colors" at the Ho Chi Minh City Monument, Con Dao special area.
With more than 120 typical images and artifacts, the exhibition recreates a colorful picture of the lives of ethnic minorities in Gia Lai such as: gong festival, brilliant brocade costumes, unique traditional musical instruments, customs and practices associated with the community...
Each artifact, each document contains a story, a value, affirming the richness and endurance of the Central Highlands culture in the flow of Vietnamese culture. The exhibition is expected to take place from August 29 to the end of September 2025
Attending the exhibition, delegates and visitors also had the opportunity to exchange and enjoy typical culinary culture such as: celery wine, sun beef, and some products of the Central Highlands mountains and forests; creating a harmony between tangible and intangible cultures.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is an opportunity for the public and tourists not only to see the beauty of Central Highlands culture, but also to better feel the sacred value of national cultural heritage, a solid spiritual foundation for the cause of national construction and development.
At the same time, contribute to celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the special area of Con Dao; welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
Earlier, on the same morning, the delegation of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao special zone held a commemorative incense offering ceremony at the relics of Hang Keo Cemetery, Hang Duong Cemetery and Con Dao Temple.
This is an opportunity for today's generations to review the tradition of steadfast and indomitable struggle, expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices of heroic martyrs and patriots; at the same time, it is an opportunity to propagate and educate the patriotism of our people; pride in the achievements in building and defending the Fatherland, building socialism in the cause of national renewal and development.
