Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - said that the 2025 program initially set a target of 1 billion steps but recorded more than 6 billion steps, with about 1.1 million participants.

Together with Vietnam to Advance is an unprecedented event, both igniting the spirit of sports and contributing to the community towards the Net Zero goal, implemented nationwide in all 34 provinces and cities and 3,221 communes and wards," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.

From the results of 2025, the Organizing Committee set a target of 10 billion green steps this year. By the afternoon of August 25, the online system recorded nearly 500 million steps of nearly 105,000 participants.

Another goal of this year's activities is to aim to establish the Guinness World Record. According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, the Organizing Committee has registered with the Guinness World Records Organization and is guided on the implementation process. However, the results need to be statistically verified and carefully verified by an independent third party before being considered for recognition by Guinness.

Establishing a record requires a rigorous statistical and verification process. The results must have accurate data and be certified by an independent third party to be eligible for Guinness to consider recognition," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.
