AstraZeneca Vietnam proposed that the Ministry of Health revoke the certificate at the old warehouse facility to switch to a new system.

On August 24, AstraZeneca Vietnam Co., Ltd. announced that it had proactively carried out procedures to request the Ministry of Health to revoke the Certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business of the old facility. According to the enterprise, this move is to serve the plan to transform infrastructure, upgrade and expand the scale of the logistics system.

Previously, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 2684/QD-BYT dated August 22, 2026, based on receiving documents requesting AstraZeneca Vietnam to stop using the old logistics facility in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to AstraZeneca Vietnam, the enterprise is deploying the construction and transition to a new warehouse system with larger capacity and modern technical standards. The new facility is oriented to meet the increasing demand for storage and circulation for specialized treatment products.

This system is also invested in preservation standards suitable for new technology drugs, including a strict cold supply chain and temperature control. AstraZeneca said the new infrastructure is aimed at preparing the ability to receive advanced biological drugs and treatments in the near future.

In addition to expanding storage capacity, businesses expect the new system to help optimize logistics capacity, thereby maintaining timely, safe and stable drug supply to medical facilities nationwide.

AstraZeneca Vietnam affirmed that the suspension of operation of the old logistics facility does not affect business operations, cooperation and drug supply in Vietnam. According to the enterprise, the supply of drugs for treatment for hospitals and patients is still maintained continuously according to current regulations.

The business said it is coordinating with the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to complete procedures for the new infrastructure system.
