Top 40 of the "Vietnamese Bolero Singing Contest 2026" has just officially launched. The program continues to attract the attention of bolero music lovers when gathering many contestants from all over the country.
According to the organizers, after the success of the first season, this year's competition recorded a larger number of registered contestants, and the professional quality was assessed uniformly. The selection process was carried out carefully to find faces that meet both vocal technique and emotional transmission ability.
Accompanying this year's season is the judging panel including many experienced artists such as famous singer Giao Linh, singer Ngoc Anh, Dinh Van, Son Ha, Dan Phuong, Que Nuong and director Hoang Ngoc Su.
Mr. Henry Nguyen - Head of the Organizing Committee said that the success of the first season is both a motivation and creates pressure for the production team in improving the quality of the competition.
According to him, the organizers not only focus on selecting contestants with qualities but also want to continue to accompany and support the voices after the competition ends to create long-term development opportunities.
Singer Giao Linh expressed her joy in continuing to take on the role of judge. She said she always wants bolero to develop more and more, attracting more young people to pursue it.
According to the female singer, with this genre of music rich in introspection, contestants need to pronounce the lyrics clearly, know how to play appropriately and keep the words in each line of the song to fully convey emotions to the audience.
Meanwhile, singer Ngoc Anh believes that technical elements are necessary, but more importantly, the singer must put emotions into each song. According to the female singer, when viewing each song as a story and transforming into a character, contestants will easily touch listeners as well as convince the judges.
After announcing the Top 40, the contestants will enter important competition rounds to find the owner of the highest position of "Vietnam Bolero Singing 2026".
The next gala night of the competition is scheduled to take place on July 11 at Au Co Art Center (Hanoi).
