The movie "Sếp bất ổn" reached millions of views in just a few days. What are your feelings?
Actually, I was quite surprised. Not because of lack of faith in the project, but because of the spreading speed faster than imagined. When I started doing it, I just thought simply to tell familiar stories in a gentle, easy-to-read way. Perhaps that closeness helps the audience empathize more easily.
Many opinions say that the film accurately reflects social media life. Did you intend from the beginning?
I don't make films about media, but films about people in that environment. The pressures, crises, or reactions of the crowd are not new, it's just that things are happening faster now. What I care about is how each person chooses to face their situation.
What is the predestined relationship to work with Nam Cuong in this project?
Nam Cuong is not a new relationship. Previously, I used to be a manager for Cuong during the period when he developed strongly. Because he had been quite deeply involved, there was a certain understanding between the two. When I invited him, Cuong accepted very quickly, almost without hesitation. That for me is a great trust.
As for Nguyen Van Chung, why could you invite him to play a guest role?
Mr. Nguyen Van Chung and I used to work together on many large projects, especially cross-Vietnam event series. At that time, I took on the role of general director, while Mr. Chung managed and operated the system. Such projects require very close coordination, so when we returned to work together, everything happened very naturally.
Can it be said that the "long-term acquaintance" factor is an advantage of the crew?
That's right. Most of the guests in the movie "Sếp bất ổn" are people who have accompanied me in many different stages. Not only work, but also friendship. Therefore, when I invited them, everyone accepted not because of the big or small role, but because they wanted to support each other.

What advantages does working with acquaintances bring?
The biggest advantage is understanding. When you understand how each other works and thinks, everything happens faster and more effectively. But there are also difficulties, because everyone is too close, sometimes the backstage atmosphere becomes... too comfortable, easily "broken" because of laughing too much.
What are the memorable memories when working with Nam Cuong and the crew?
There are scenes that seem very tense but are extremely humorous behind. For example, when Nam Cuong is seriously immersed in the role, the crew below raises a sign reminding him "don't laugh", making everyone laugh. These moments help the working atmosphere become more comfortable.
It is known that behind your projects is always the companionship of your family. Can you share more about this?
That's right! My husband is the one who always stands behind, but plays a very important role.
He is not only an encourager in spirit, but also directly participates in projects as a production director. With "Sếp Bất Ổn", he is also the manager of the entire production team.
Doing this job is sometimes very stressful, because you have to take responsibility for many things at the same time. Having someone who understands you, shares and accompanies you from behind is very precious.
Besides work, you have just returned to the lecture hall. What does this mean to you?
I just returned to Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. This is a decision that I have been thinking about for a long time. In the next 10 years, I set a goal to complete the Master of Cinema program - something that I had never had the opportunity to pursue fully before.
For me, studying is not just about degrees. It is a way for me to systematize what I have done, and broaden my perspective on what I will do next.
After the initial success, what do you expect from the next stage of the movie "Sếp bất ổn"?
I don't put pressure to exceed the million views. What I hope is that each episode still maintains connection with the audience. In addition, the next episodes will have more new guests, bringing different colors.
Thank you for sharing!
