The Crescendo International Music Festival is chaired and implemented by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports with the expectation of becoming an annual cultural activity bearing the unique imprint of the Capital.
According to the plan, the festival will take place in many locations such as the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Dusit Le Palais Tu Hoa Hanoi Hotel and the Bat Giac House area by Hoan Kiem Lake. The event gathers artists, lecturers, music experts and contestants from many countries and territories such as Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, France, Italy...
The festival is organized with the specific goal of concretizing the development orientation of Hanoi to become a creative center, a cultural center of the region. At the same time, the event also contributes to realizing the city's commitments when participating in UNESCO's Creative Cities Network.
Through music, Hanoi wishes to promote international cultural exchange, develop the cultural industry and promote the image of a dynamic, modern but still rich in identity Capital.
Not only is it a playground for young musical talents, Crescendo 2026 also brings a series of academic and professional performance activities. The competition categories include piano, vocals, string instruments, guitar, ukulele and performances with symphony orchestras. In addition, there are specialized workshops with the participation of professors, artists and international conductors.
One of the notable highlights of the festival is the outdoor concert "Connexion Symphony", taking place on the evening of July 4 at the Hoan Kiem Lake Octagon House (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi). The program is built in the direction of an open art space, where world-renowned artists and the most outstanding young faces of the festival will perform on the same stage.
The program is led by conductor Daniel Park (Korea). In addition, there is also the participation of famous pianist Rintaro Akamatsu (Japan), international opera artist Nguyen Khac Hoa, soprano Kim Ngan and many young talents from 9 countries and territories. Symphony, concerto, opera and instrumental performances promise to bring the public high-quality artistic experiences right in the heritage space of the Capital.
With international scale, diverse content and a harmonious combination of performance, training and cultural exchange, the Crescendo International Music Festival - Hanoi 2026 is expected to become a prominent highlight in the music life of the Capital, contributing to affirming Hanoi's position as a creative, integrated city and becoming a destination for high-quality art events in the region.

And for Hanoi students, they do not need to go abroad to stand on the same stage with leading world artists, they do not need to go far to feel top-notch academic music.
