At the program "Unexpected Transformation 2026", artist Ngan Quynh attracted attention with frank shares about her career journey and experiences for contestants.
According to the female artist, transforming into a famous singer has never been an easy challenge. Besides vocal technique, the performer must also convey the spirit and spirit of the character. However, Ngan Quynh believes that contestants do not necessarily have to be absolutely like their idols.
I don't put much emphasis on being 100% similar. If the voice is not really similar but the performance style is good, mastering the stage and conveying the spirit of the character, it is still worthy of recognition," Ngan Quynh shared.
Few people know that the female artist herself also went through a transformation journey in a television program more than 10 years ago. According to her, that experience helped her overcome the crisis period in middle age.
Being able to step on stage, sing and transform helps me regain positive energy. Because I have experienced that feeling, I understand the pressure of the contestants," she said.
Looking back at nearly 40 years of artistic activities, Ngan Quynh admitted that she once struggled because she had not identified her strengths.
In the past, I sang all genres but didn't know which genre of music I was in. Because I didn't know who I was, the artistic path was always fragile and precarious," the female artist confided.
After many years of experience, Ngan Quynh realized that the most important thing for an artist is to understand their own abilities, instead of trying to chase after things that are not appropriate.
According to her, learning from idols is necessary, but one should not lose their individuality. "When entering the program, one transforms, one gets into the role. But when stepping out of the stage, one must be oneself. Learn to develop, don't become the shadow of others," she shared.
Ngan Quynh also believes that what keeps the audience is not fame but sincerity. For female artists, each person has their own way of shining if they know who they are and persistently pursue the path they have chosen.
