The program "Road to the Future" on VTV2 celebrates the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), the 40th anniversary of the country's renovation, and at the same time welcomes the 14th National Party Congress and welcomes Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
Artist Nguyen Tien said that according to the initial script, he only participated in a live sand painting performance with a duration of about 3 minutes at the end of the program. However, after the content review process, the organizing committee agreed to adjust and bring his performance to the opening position. At the same time, Nguyen Tien was assigned to perform an additional sand painting part as a background for the mashup medley "The Party flag - The Party is my life - The Party gave me a spring", raising the total performance time to nearly 10 minutes.

During the urgent preparation period, Nguyen Tien built his own sand painting script, focusing on recreating typical historical milestones of the nation. The opening is the image of the country in the years of oppression, followed by the symbol of the hand sowing "red seeds" - a metaphor for the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Important historical milestones successively appear through each layer of sand such as President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence, the all-people resistance war, the Dien Bien Phu victory, and the image of tanks advancing into the Independence Palace, marking the moment of national reunification.

At the end, sand paintings convey a message about the continuation of history and the aspiration for development in the new period. Images of modern works, symbols of national achievements are expressed softly, ending with images of flamingos spreading their wings towards the sunlight. The performance received enthusiastic response and long applause from the audience.
Nguyen Tien (born in 1990, from Nam Dinh) is currently one of the typical faces of sand painting art performed in Vietnam. With more than 12 years of operation, he is known for combining sand painting with music, dance, synthetic stage, participating in many art programs with cultural and community values.
