Sharing about his predestined relationship with the program, Meritorious Artist Dai Nghia said that he knew about Storyteller of Love from about 5-7 years ago. At that time, he had the opportunity to observe contestants during practice and support acting advice for some performances.
Right from the first seasons, I saw that this was a program with a special format, rich in storytelling and bringing many emotions," he said. Therefore, when the 9th season sent an invitation, he almost immediately accepted.
As someone who does not come from singing, Dai Nghia said that his evaluation criteria will lean heavily towards emotions. According to the male artist, vocal technique is necessary, but the decisive thing is still the vibration that the performance brings to listeners. "A performance that touches emotions will leave a longer mark than any technique," he emphasized.
In terms of acting, Dai Nghia believes that contestants are not professional actors, so he does not put much emphasis on technical factors. Instead, he appreciates the sincerity in the storytelling style. "Only if you are really moved and can convey emotions through music, then that is enough to conquer the audience," he shared.
In parallel with his role as a judge, currently Meritorious Artist Dai Nghia is still closely attached to the IDECAF stage. He is almost constantly present in performances from midweek to weekend, and also participates in staging new plays. In addition, filming, teaching and participating in television programs are also arranged flexibly by him.
Talking about how to balance life, Dai Nghia said that he chooses a peaceful lifestyle and applies Buddhist teachings to face changes. "Storms are inevitable. When you calmly accept them, everything will be lighter," he confided.
Regarding the title "Vietnam's richest MC" once mentioned by Truong Giang, Dai Nghia frankly said that it was just a joke. The male artist affirmed that he has a stable life in many art fields, but does not put much emphasis on material things or titles. For him, living just enough and being satisfied with the present is what matters.
