According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera, actor Nguyen Phan Manh Duy, a member of the Opera Troupe - Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), passed away at 6:00 p.m. on October 21, at the age of 36.
The actor passed away a few days after being hospitalized and diagnosed with respiratory failure. He had only had a mild fever before; after being hospitalized for about 3 days, his condition worsened, leading to respiratory failure and he died.
Before falling ill, Nguyen Phan Manh Duy was preparing to participate in the Symphony No. 9 program organized by the Theater, but due to poor health, he withdrew.
Nguyen Phan Manh Duy, born in 1989, began working regularly at HBSO since 2014.
In August 2021, Manh Duy became an official artist of the Theater. He participated in plays such as: The Funny Widow, The Adventures of a Cricket... with HBSO artists such as Pham Khanh Ngoc, Dao Mac, Duyen Nguyet, Thu Huong...
The funeral and memorial service for the actor will be held at Chi Lang Parish Church, Da Lat City. After that, his body will be cremated at Hoan Vu Crematorium, Da Lat City on October 25.
