Taking Tu (Le Phuong) as his concubine, Manh (Cao Minh Dat) did not bring her to live together but bought her a small house near his house and visited her again and again.
Tu asked Manh many times to let him move back to the main house to live with him, but Manh refused because he was afraid of family turmoil. Sneaking into the main house and witnessing Manh being happy with his first wife and her children, Tu was extremely jealous but told himself to be patient and accept it.
As a serious and upright man, Manh did not like womanizing, and even less liked having a first or second wife like most wealthy men at that time.
But life pushed him into something he hated, which was having a concubine. After getting married, Manh was unfortunately rescued by a girl from a riverside family while on a business trip. That girl was Tu. Tu kept Manh in her house for a whole week, taking care of him and helping him escape the clutches of death.
Tu was an orphan, and brought a strange man home to live with her for a whole week, so he couldn't help but be gossiped about. To repay her son for saving his life and to save the young girl's reputation, Manh's mother forced him to marry Tu as her concubine.
At first, Manh did not agree, wanting to repay Tu with a large sum of money. But since saving Manh and taking care of him every day, Tu was moved. When he learned about Manh's wealthy family, Tu was determined to stick with him and saw this as an opportunity to change his life that he could not let go.
So Tu staged a scene as if he wanted to commit suicide because he couldn't stand the gossip. Faced with that situation, Manh and his wife were forced to follow the family's arrangement.
The film airs at 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday every week on THVL1 channel.
