The event quickly attracted attention when it gathered many prominent faces of Vietnamese music today such as Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, Mono, Grey D, Orange, Phung Khanh Linh and Captain Boy, Jey B and Vuong Binh.
First launched in April 2026, the Sao Concert program made a mark thanks to the live concert model combined with a live band, placing direct music experience and the connection between artists and audiences as the focus. The program is led in music by musician Huy Tuan and Mau Nuoc Band.
With the theme "Without Limits", Star Station 2 took place on the evening of July 11 at Phu Tho Gymnasium (HCMC), aiming for the spirit of breaking out of the safe zone, encouraging artists to experiment with new aspects in music and performance. According to the organizers, this is not just a music night but also a journey to explore the creative limits of each artist.
The highlight of the program continues to be the liveband performance form. This is considered an environment that requires artists to show stage presence, emotional control and direct interaction with the band in each performance moment.
Among the participating artists, Quang Hung MasterD is expected to bring a new color after many domestic and international successes. Duong Domic continues to show the spirit of innovation in music. Meanwhile, Mono is expected with bold experiments, while Grey D promises to bring emotional performances.
One of the notable new points of Star Station 2 is the collaboration with Thai lighting director Gumpa Wong. The appearance of the international crew is expected to elevate the visual experience for the audience.
In particular, the program marks the return of Phu Tho Gymnasium after a long period of upgrading and renovation. The new space with a capacity of about 8,000 spectators is expected to become a vibrant music rendezvous this summer.
