Thanh Hang said that she decided to accompany Miss Vietnam Student 2026 because she highly appreciates the orientation of promoting knowledge, skills and the school environment of this year's competition.
The female supermodel shared that she was convinced by the message of searching for a modern female student model, not only with appearance but also possessing thinking, bravery and good communication skills. According to Thanh Hang, this is a different factor of Miss Vietnam Student compared to many beauty pageants today.
One of the reasons she accepted to be a judge is that the competition does not chase after the "drama" element to create media attraction. The organizers announced the complete elimination of the dramatic reality TV format, instead focusing on skills training classes and personal development activities for contestants.
Thanh Hang believes that the school environment needs to maintain a positive, civilized and safe spirit for students. Therefore, she highly appreciates the orientation of limiting the exploitation of privacy or creating controversy to attract views.
The female supermodel also agreed with the contest lowering the height standard from 1m65 to 1m62. According to her, this opens up opportunities for many capable female students who were previously limited by too strict body standards.
Thanh Hang said that when selecting contestants, she pays more attention to her ability to behave, knowledge base and critical thinking. The female judge believes that these are the factors that help young people build long-term values after the competition, instead of just becoming famous in a short time.
In addition, the mechanism of converting scores into scholarships for students is also something that Thanh Hang highly appreciates the competition. According to her, the fact that each contestant's performance contributes to bringing scholarships to the school is a positive socially meaningful idea.
Miss Vietnam Student 2026 will hold preliminary rounds in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang before entering the final expected to take place in August.
