In the trailer, the character Hung (Thai Hoa) appears as a true hero when rushing into the sea of fire to save people, regardless of danger. The brave action quickly spread on social networks, helping him receive admiration and many donations from the community. However, later on, suspicions began to appear when a series of unusual details were "discovered", pushing Hung from a heroic image to the focus of criticism.
The participation of actors such as Vo Tan Phat, Hong Anh and Le Thien helps the story become more multi-dimensional, especially when family relationships and public pressure gradually push the characters into a tense situation.
Sharing about the project, producer Timothy Linh Bui said that the film not only revolves around the story of charity but also raises a big question about kindness in modern society: do people still have enough courage to do the right thing? Meanwhile, director Vo Thach Thao affirmed that the film's idea was cherished for many years, inspired by observing society instead of a specific case.
On Thai Hoa's side, the male actor said that he accepted to participate because he believed in the director's subtle storytelling, and at the same time did not put much pressure on revenue. The character Hung, according to him, is the image of an imperfect father but willing to do everything for his children.
Expected to premiere from April 24, 2026, the movie Anh Hung is considered one of the opening "fireworks" for the April 30th film season, with the expectation of bringing a frank perspective and many reflections on the boundary between kindness and the abuse of trust.
