Vietnam confirms participation in Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 - the Asian version of one of the oldest and most influential music competitions globally.

This event marks a remarkable step forward for the Vietnamese music market in its journey of deep integration with the region.

According to information from the organizers, the final night is expected to take place on November 14, 2026 in Bangkok (Thailand). This is the first time Eurovision has been expanded to Asia, with the goal of creating a playground connecting music cultures in the region, based on the spirit of "United by Music" - connecting with music.

Vietnam's participation in the first season is very meaningful. In the context of the rapidly developing domestic music market, this participation is expected to help Vietnamese artists reach international audiences, while affirming the position of Vietnam's creative industry in the region.

The list of countries participating in the first season includes about 10 countries, including South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and some South Asian and Southeast Asian countries. This diversity promises to create a colorful stage, where each representative brings their own identity through original songs.

The Eurovision Song Contest has a history of more than 70 years, attracting hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide each year. Expanding to Asia is not only a step forward in scale, but also shows the spread of a model combining music, television and popular culture. For the Asian region, this is an opportunity to build a similar iconic playground.

In Vietnam, the program has the participation of VTV3 and domestic production units, undertaking the selection and accompanying national representatives. This shows serious investment, not only stopping at participation but also aiming to create an impression.

In addition to professional factors, Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 also integrates a social media platform to increase interaction with audiences, allowing fans to follow and connect directly with artists. This is considered a new point, suitable for the current content consumption trend.

Choosing Bangkok as the venue also has many meanings. This city is considered a dynamic cultural and entertainment center of the region, a crossroads between tradition and modernity. The event is expected not only to attract audiences but also to contribute to promoting tourism and creative industries in Thailand.

With the participation of Vietnam, Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for Vietnamese music to step onto a wider stage.
