The Prime Minister's Decision announcement ceremony on April 4 marked an important development turning point, opening a new phase with a multidisciplinary, modern and internationally integrated orientation. This is the second multidisciplinary university in the Mekong Delta region, after Can Tho University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of Tra Vinh University Nguyen Minh Hoa emphasized that this is not only a change in the model but also shows the maturity of the school collective, opening up a new development journey with greater expectations and responsibilities.
In the new phase, Tra Vinh University identifies to focus resources on three strategic focuses, including governance innovation, building a modern and effective university model, and creating a humane academic environment.
Improve training quality associated with practical needs, promote the Co-op model, and train high-quality human resources to serve localities and society.
In addition, the school promotes research, innovation, linking knowledge with application, gradually affirming its role in the development ecosystem of the province and the region.
On that basis, Tra Vinh University sets a goal of sustainable development, enhancing its position in Asia, towards the Top 500 leading universities in Asia by 2035.
