On March 26, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, the Investigation Security Agency of the Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Nguyen Thien Khoi (born in 1997, residing in Phu Cuong hamlet, Hieu Phung commune, Vinh Long province) for the act of illegally using military weapons.
According to the case file, at about 8 pm on November 27, 2025, Nguyen Thien Khoi used a sharp metal kitchen knife, wooden handle, about 34cm long to slash Mr. N.T. Q many times, causing injuries. The assessment results showed that Mr. Q's body injury rate was 4%.
On December 26, 2025, Mr. Q filed a request not to prosecute a criminal case for the crime of "Intentionally causing injury". On January 27, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Long Provincial Police transferred the relevant dossiers, documents, and exhibits to the Investigation Security Agency of Vinh Long Provincial Police for handling and investigation according to their authority.
Based on the investigation results and collected documents and evidence, on March 23, the Investigation Security Agency of Vinh Long Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the defendant Nguyen Thien Khoi for the crime of "Illegal use of military weapons" for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
