Combining training with businesses helps students have more opportunities to experience real work and approach recruitment right from when they are still in university.
At the Japan Information Technology Engineer Program course 1, organized between FPT University (FPTU) and businesses, 11/12 participating students became official employees of FPT Software after the Fresher program. Some students continued to improve their programming expertise and Japanese to aim for job opportunities in Japan.
Ly Hong Ngoc, a student majoring in Software Engineering, started looking for career opportunities from her final year of university through the LG Track scholarship program. This is a program that combines training and recruitment of young personnel in the technology field of a Korean corporation.
After the process of preparing documents and demonstrating her abilities, Ngoc was admitted to the program and had the opportunity to work at the group right from the last year. The female student said that the study process helped her have the opportunity to apply knowledge to practical projects, specialized exercises and technology competitions.
These experiences help Ngoc accumulate more experience, complete personal profiles and achieve some achievements in the field of programming.
Ngoc also actively learned about the field of automotive (automotive technology) and realized that this is a relatively specialized industry, still new to many young personnel. According to her, this field requires candidates to have a knowledge base, self-learning ability, problem-solving thinking and foreign languages to access specialized materials.
The program needs candidates with good knowledge base, self-study ability, problem-solving thinking and foreign language skills to study materials. All of that I am equipped with from the lecture hall" - Ngoc shared.
Similarly, Le Quang Vinh, a student of K18 majoring in Artificial Intelligence, was recruited after On-the-Job Training (OJT) - a training program in the business environment. Before graduating, Vinh had the opportunity to participate in a project on artificial intelligence in Singapore.
According to Vinh, studying in an environment using English along with the opportunity to learn more foreign languages helps him more conveniently when working on projects with international elements.
From a business perspective, Mr. Vu Thanh Tuan - Director of the Southern Regional University Cooperation and Talent Development Program, FPT Software - commented that FPTU students are not only young people with good expertise, but also "people who can do things".
Through the process of recruitment and long-term contact, he saw that you have the ability to work in teams, the ability to lead, know how to manage time and take responsibility to the end. When you need to be creative, you dare to do differently: combine technology with business, technology with user experience, create soulful solutions, not just code.
If I had to choose a sentence to talk about the strengths of FPTU students, I would choose'Speak, do, and lead'. That's why they are not only suitable for today's job but also ready for tomorrow's long-term career" - he emphasized.
