On the morning of August 30, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Ward (HCMC), nearly 800 people in red flags with yellow stars participated in the performance to celebrate National Day on September 2. This is the main activity in the "Independence Day" Festival to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The festival is an opportunity for cadres, party members and people to review the heroic revolutionary tradition, pay tribute to the great contributions of previous generations; at the same time, create a space for exchange, connection, and spread the spirit of solidarity and affection in the community.
The highlight of the program is the joint performance with the theme "Vietnam - Proud to take the next steps", with the participation of many cadres, union members, and association members, creating an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere, towards the great national holiday.
Also on this occasion, Binh Thanh ward launched many meaningful projects such as "Brilliant Flag - Flowers blooming with Love", "Richmond City is brilliant with the colors of the Fatherland's flag", "Solidarity Flower Garden - spreading love". The works contribute to beautifying the urban landscape, affirming patriotism and national pride.
In addition, the locality also presented flower pots, national flags, and great solidarity gifts to the people with a total value of more than 100 million VND, thereby spreading the spirit of sharing and affection in the community.
