According to Binh Duong General Hospital, the unit previously worked with a working group of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health.
At the working program, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health suggested that Binh Duong General Hospital proactively develop a plan to transfer to a new 1,500-bed facility (in Chanh Hiep ward); Ensure that the relocation process is carried out safely, effectively and without interruption.
At the same time, Binh Duong General Hospital must continue to invest in developing existing facilities, maintaining the quality of medical examination and treatment, promoting the implementation of new techniques and expanding specialized services to better meet the health care needs of the people.
Binh Duong General Hospital will receive comprehensive support from the Ho Chi Minh City health system, especially in human resource training and in-depth technical transfer.
In the coming time, the Professional Advisory Council (a gathering of leading experts from Ho Chi Minh City) will accompany Binh Duong General Hospital in developing a sustainable development strategy for the next 5-10 years.
1,500-bed facility built for more than 10 years is still not finished
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the 1,500-bed hospital project has been under construction since 2014. This new facility is to replace the old headquarters of Binh Duong General Hospital. However, due to many reasons, the hospital has not yet been completed.
Most likely, the construction of this facility will take until 2026 to be able to hand over to Binh Duong General Hospital for operation.
