On August 4, the People's Committee of Tan Uyen Ward held a ceremony to announce the resolution of the Ward People's Council on recognizing the conversion and renaming of neighborhoods and hamlets after implementing the 2-level local government model.
Accordingly, 9 hamlets are converted into neighborhoods in Tan Uyen ward, including: hamlets in Bach Dang commune (old), respectively named Binh Hung, Tan Long, Dieu Hoa, Tan Trach, An Chu, Binh Chu; the hamlets in Tan My commune (old) are also respectively named Bung Luong, Vuon Vu, Xom Den neighborhoods.
In addition, 14 neighborhoods and hamlets in Tan Uyen ward will be renamed, including: neighborhoods 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 in Uyen Hung ward (old) will have new names: Uyen Hung 1, Uyen Hung 3, Uyen Hung 4, Uyen Hung 5, Uyen Hung 6, Uyen Hung 7, Uyen Hung 8; Hamlets 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in Tan Lap commune (old) will be renamed Tan Lap 1, Tan Lap 2, Tan Lap 3, Tan Lap 4, Tan Lap 4, Tan Lap 5, Hamlet 2, Tan My commune (old) will be renamed My Loc quarter and Hamlet 3, Tan My commune (old) will be renamed Rach Ro quarter.
According to records, localities in the old Binh Duong are currently changing the names of neighborhoods. Of which, Binh Duong ward has renamed 17 neighborhoods. The new names of the neighborhoods are named after the old wards and have additional serial numbers. In addition, Thu Dau Mot ward is also seeking opinions to rename 37 neighborhoods.
