On April 23, the program "National Health Day 2026" was held at Tu Du Hospital, facility 2 (Can Gio commune), with the coordination between the Eye Hospital and Tu Du Hospital, facility 2. This is a meaningful activity aimed at supporting patients with cataracts in difficult circumstances, contributing to bringing treatment opportunities and vision recovery to people.
Within the framework of the program, 100 patients with cataracts were screened, fully tested and underwent artificial lens replacement surgery. The entire process was carried out free of charge and methodically, from reception, medical examination, blood tests to eye ultrasound and artificial lens capacity (IOL) measurement, ensuring safety and treatment effectiveness.

The program has the participation of a team of highly specialized doctors and nurses from the Eye Hospital, along with close coordination from Tu Du Hospital facility 2 in the organization and arrangement of examination areas, operating rooms and surgical equipment. At the same time, the locality participates in supporting the review, listing and inviting patients.
According to Tu Du Hospital, each successful surgery not only helps patients restore vision but also brings faith, hope and opportunities to live more independently in daily life.
In the coming time, free medical examination and treatment activities will continue to be maintained and developed, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing, improving the quality of health care and bringing medical services closer to all people.
