It is no coincidence that school sports tournaments are increasingly attracting a large number of students to participate. Besides creating playgrounds after school hours, tournaments also help students form the habit of exercise, train competitive bravery and learn how to compete healthily.
Ams Badminton Championship 2026 is an example when it gathers up to 505 athletes in secondary and high school age groups to compete.
Organized by Badminton Ams Club (BAC) - badminton club of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the tournament offers opportunities for badminton-loving students to compete with many opponents of different levels. Instead of just practicing within the school, they are able to compete in a competitive environment, thereby accumulating more experience and improving professional skills.
The tournament takes place in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles for both secondary and high school levels. After hundreds of matches, the organizing committee awarded 63 prizes with a total value of about 70 million VND to individuals and teams with high achievements.
Sharing after the tournament, athlete Pham Tuan Quoc Thai said: "Recalling the Ams Badminton Championship, I am very happy because I have tried my best and maintained the fair play spirit. Although there is no tournament yet, this is still a complete experience that helps me overcome my personal limits and have more motivation to continue training. I would like to thank the Organizing Committee for creating a great playground and wish the tournament to be even more successful next year".
According to Tran Tue Phuong - Head of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of Badminton Ams Club, Ams Badminton Championship has been prepared for more than two months with the desire to build a healthy competition environment for students who love badminton.
Not only stopping at an annual tournament, Badminton Ams Club also maintains regular meetings, connecting with many other student badminton clubs in Hanoi.
These activities contribute to forming a sustainable school sports environment, where students not only improve their physical strength but also cultivate discipline, teamwork ability and confidence, helping to integrate and make friends with other young people who share the same passion throughout the city.
This is also the foundation for many children to continue pursuing badminton at a higher level, while contributing to promoting the school sports movement to develop strongly in recent years.
