With the desire to create an interesting and creative sports playground for students, the "Vovinam Dance 2025" contest will contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity, national pride and creating a major cultural and sporting event.
Vovinam Dance is a creativity, with a modern feel on the Vietnamese martial arts platform Vo Dao - a traditional Vietnamese martial art founded by martial artist Nguyen Loc in 1938. Doc am is a delicate combination of martial arts, music and choreography, creating artistic performances.
Vovinam Dance 2025 is not only a playground for martial arts students, dancers, art enthusiasts, but also an opportunity to explore a creative form of performance, where the spirit of martial arts blends with art.
The contest promises to bring explosive performances, demonstrating the strength, will and aspiration to reach out of the young generation. This is also an opportunity to honor, preserve and spread the quintessence of Vovinam to reach the world.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy General Director of Hanoi Station - said: "We hope to spread information, preserve and develop traditional cultural values of the nation, including Vovinam traditional martial arts.
For the first time coordinating to organize an exciting contest on Vovinam martial arts, we hope to be a bridge with the audience, with the young generation so that martial arts enthusiasts have the opportunity to affirm their talents, while also helping people deeply understand one of the intangible heritages of Vietnam".
Martial artist Tran Van My - Chief Truong quan tri vien cua Vovinam - shared: "The contest is a place for all Vovinam students to show their talents, a place to honor the martial arts spirit, strong will and harmonious combination of martial arts and art.
This is also a very good condition for Vovinam students in all countries around the world to have the opportunity to exchange, learn and share, together building Vovinam to become more and more united and developed.
The contest is held in 2 rounds: The qualifying round is online, starting from April 1 to July 31, 2025. The final round will take place live at the S5 studio in Hanoi on August 24. The total prize value of the contest is up to 550 million VND.
The contest will be broadcast on TV channels and digital platforms of Hanoi Taiwan.
