On the morning of April 13, in Tra Vinh City (Tra Vinh Province), the Aikya Cross Country Marathon Tra Vinh 2025 officially took place after more than 5 months of preparation, attracting thousands of professional athletes and movement.
The event is directed by the People's Committee of Tra Vinh Province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province in collaboration with Aikya Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Nexus Sport Events. The unique highlight of the tournament is a new bronze running, combining a variety of terrain from dirt roads, trails to rice fields, rows of old trees and outstanding landscapes.
The tournament consists of 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. At a distance of 21km, Ha Hau athletes achieved a 1 hour 33 minutes 49 seconds, reaching the top 8. Kenya athlete - Kipchumba Kimutai Hillary was the leader with a time of 1 hour 20 minutes 39 seconds.
At a distance of 42km, the competition between Kiptoo Edwin Yebie (Kenya) and Pham Ngoc Phan was only different for 15 seconds. With physical and experienced advantage, Kiptoo won for 2 hours and 50 minutes 45 seconds. In the female content of the same distance, Nguyen Thi Tra Giang bestowed with a achievement of 3 hours 23 minutes 9 seconds.
