On July 13, Hung Yen Provincial Police said that in the past time, the Economic Police Department has advised the leaders of the Provincial Police to implement many plans and measures to strengthen inspection and handle violations of food safety in the area.
Accordingly, the police force has coordinated with functional sectors to establish inter-sectoral inspection teams, focusing on inspecting businesses, establishments and household businesses producing and trading food and functional foods to promptly detect and prevent violations and protect consumer health.
From December 15, 2025 to date, Hung Yen Provincial Police have detected and handled 473 cases with 481 subjects violating food safety regulations; administratively fined 464 cases with 465 subjects, with a total amount of more than 1.55 billion VND; and prosecuted 9 cases with 16 defendants.
Typically, on June 30, 2026, the Economic Police Department coordinated with the Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to inspect the compliance with food safety regulations at Nutriqueen Joint Stock Company (Binh Phu village, Viet Yen commune, Hung Yen province).
Through testing the batch of Sure Gold Nutri Queen granulated milk product (production batch 050326, manufactured in March 2026, expiry date to March 2028), functional agencies determined that the total number of yeast and mold spores was not consistent with the product self-declaration.
On July 1, 2026, the Head of the Sub-Department of Food Safety and Hygiene issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Nutriqueen Joint Stock Company for the act of producing products subject to self-declaration but not in accordance with the announced standards, according to the provisions of Decree No. 124/2021/ND-CP and related regulations on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of food safety.
