We are honored to accompany the Vietnamese Government in the journey to build a sustainable, low-emission economy and contribute to the formation of a new generation of farmers ready to switch to regenerative agriculture".
The focus of the cooperation is to promote regenerative and low-emission agricultural cultivation methods. By supporting farmers in applying these methods, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Nestle Vietnam aim to improve climate change adaptation and competitiveness of Vietnam's agriculture.
The typical sustainable development initiative of the enterprise - the NESCAFE Plan program - has currently supported more than 21,000 farming households, replanted 86,000 hectares of coffee and increased income for farming households. Based on this success, the cooperation will expand training, technical assistance and provide high-quality plant varieties to coffee farmers, especially in the Central Highlands region, helping them improve their livelihoods in the context of climate change, while contributing to Vietnam's Net Zero goal.
In addition to the goal of converting agricultural farming methods, the cooperation also focuses on innovation, knowledge sharing and capacity building. Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Nestle Vietnam will coordinate to organize seminars, seminars and training courses to raise awareness of the new legal framework and good practices in sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
Within the framework of cooperation, the enterprise will implement an internship program for agricultural students of the Central Highlands University. This initiative aims to train the next generation of leaders in the sustainable agriculture sector, equipping young Vietnamese people with the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experience to contribute to promoting innovation and enhancing adaptability in the agricultural sector.
Also in the spirit of always sharing and accompanying, recently, when Vietnam was continuously affected by storms No. 10, 11, 13 and responded to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Nestle Vietnam joined hands to share and support in cash through the Fatherland Front along with food and nutrition products to affected localities.
