Proactively manage people who come to buy durian
Considered the "durian capital" of Lam Dong province, the Da Huoai area is entering the peak harvest season. Durian gardens continuously welcome traders to survey, evaluate quality, and connect purchases.

This year's crop recorded the participation of many foreign traders, including partners from China.
The interest of businesses and traders contributes to expanding the consumption market and increasing the value of local durians.
However, along with the bustling purchasing activities, the number of people coming to the area to stay and work has also increased.
Faced with this reality, local authorities and police forces strengthened residence management, proactively preventing violations of the law.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - owner of a accommodation establishment in Da Huoai commune - said that before the harvest season, the commune police had propagated and guided establishments to declare accommodation for foreigners.

We are guided on the declaration process on the system. When foreign tourists come to stay, the establishment checks papers and completes all procedures according to regulations," Mr. Binh said.
Not only accommodation establishments, but many durian wholesalers also believe that it is necessary to strengthen the management of foreigners and traders from other localities coming to work.

According to Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai - manager of Thuan Hung durian purchasing warehouse (Da Huoai commune), the fact that businesses and traders are interested in raw material areas is a positive sign, contributing to improving product value.
However, purchasing and cooperation activities need to be carried out in accordance with regulations. Our partners all have complete dossiers and documents to ensure a transparent and safe business environment," Mr. Hai said.
Maintain a safe business environment
Over the past time, the police of Da Huoai, Dai Huoai 2 and Da Huoai 3 communes have deployed forces to review accommodation establishments, guesthouses, homestays and locations with temporary residence of foreigners; and at the same time guide establishment owners to properly implement regulations on residence declaration.

In addition, the police force strengthened the grasp of the situation at purchasing points, areas with a large concentration of traders, and promptly detected and handled violations.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Hung - Head of Da Huoai Commune Police - said that the unit regularly inspects accommodation establishments, guides temporary residence registration for foreigners, and at the same time mobilizes people to provide information when detecting unusual signs.
Grasping the local situation, managing residence and coordinating with people helps functional forces promptly handle problems arising during the durian harvest season," Lieutenant Colonel Hung said.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong - Vice Chairman of Da Huoai 2 Commune People's Committee - assessed that the synchronous implementation of management solutions has contributed to maintaining local stability, creating conditions for people to produce, businesses to purchase and partners to cooperate in accordance with regulations.
According to statistics, Lam Dong province currently has 133 businesses and cooperatives participating in durian purchasing; 47 production - consumption linkage chains with 1,678 households participating, with a total area of about 4,500ha.
The Da Huoai area, including Da Huoai, Da Huoai 2, Da Huoai 3, Da Teh, Da Teh 2 and Da Teh 3 communes, has more than 10,000 hectares of durian, of which about 7,500 hectares are being harvested.
Combining consumption market development with strict local management is considered an important solution to build a safe and sustainable production and business environment for the large durian area of Lam Dong.
