At this year's Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, designer Vu Thao Giang brought the meaningful "Heritage Fiber" collection.
The collection honors the typical heritage fibers of Vietnam: Lotus silk; Traditional shiny silk; Banana silk; Pineapple fiber; Green thorn fiber, linen fiber, jute fiber, bamboo fiber - all biodegradable, rapid regeneration and environmentally friendly.

The most special fiber highlight is lotus silk - ranked in the group of most expensive natural fibers in the world. In the collection, lotus silk is used as an exclusive "flavorful" lotus silk, taken from the stem of the Quan Am lotus flower at the time when the flower is about to bloom, the most beautiful in April lunar calendar (Buddha's Birthday season).
Through the talented hands of craft village artisans combined with the creativity of designer Vu Thao Giang, each ao dai is completed with sophisticated hand embroidery techniques, elaborate embellishments, and rich brocade embroidery.

The Ao Dai collection "Heritage Fiber" with a sustainable development spirit throughout: using biodegradable natural materials, taking advantage of agricultural waste to reduce waste, zero-waste processes, no harmful chemicals, and supporting livelihoods for craft village artisans. This contributes to preserving the fading craft and promoting regenerative fashion on the global map.
The "Heritage Fiber" collection affirms the message that "Golden Silk" is not only a glorious past, but also a green, sophisticated aspiration, ready to reach far into the world.
