On December 11-12, Coca-Cola Foundation accompanied IUCN to organize knowledge sharing and connection to enhance resilience to coastal areas of the Mekong Delta.

With the theme "Promoting sustainable finance for nature-based combined solutions to increase resilience in the coastal areas of the Mekong Delta, the program includes training and field visits of 8 shrimp farms in Soc Trang (Can Tho City) and Bac Lieu (Ca Mau) piloting a multi- species inter-c rotating aquaculture system (IMTA-RAS) combined with mangrove restoration.

The event is part of the project "Enhancing resilience in the coastal areas of the Mekong Delta through mangrove forest restoration and nature-based combined solutions", funded by the Coca-Cola Fund (TCCF) with 1 million USD in the period of 2024-2026.

Previously, TCCF also cooperated with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in the "Monkey Cheek" project in the Mekong Delta region in the period of 2018-2020, to pilot a flood season livelihood model to help increase water retention capacity, restore and protect 450 hectares of livelihood land in this area.

By November 2025, the project has supported 21 farms to complete the conversion of the model to IMTA-RAS combined with mangrove forest restoration.

In the 2024-2027 period, Coca-Cola Foundation is committed to investing an additional 500,000 USD to continue promoting the goal of biodiversity conservation in the locality.
