This is a typical example of how Schaeffler uses renewable energy to promote the transition to clean energy. The event marks an important milestone in the group's sustainable development roadmap and global emission reduction strategy.
The project is one of many initiatives implemented by Schaeffler to meet the climate change goals of the Paris Agreement, affirming its commitment to applying advanced technologies to promote carbonation and improve sustainability in production activities in Vietnam.
Schaeffler's solar power system covers over 10,000 m2, with an installed capacity of approximately 2.12 MWp, and can provide nearly 2,714 MWh of electricity output per year. The transition to renewable energy helps Schaeffler reduce emissions by 1,840 tons of CO2 per year.
Energy-saving initiatives such as solar power systems are an important factor in the sustainable development orientation, which is one of the four strategic pillars of Schaeffler Group.
In addition, the group also promoted many synchronous measures to reduce carbon emissions and optimize energy efficiency in the entire operating process.
