Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has developed a Plan to combat, prevent, and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement by 2030 in the province.
The plan aims to promote the work of perfecting institutions; perfecting the organization and apparatus to be strong enough, specifically defining the functions, tasks, and powers of departments, branches, and local authorities at two levels; building mechanisms and policies for people and businesses to participate; creating a strong change in awareness for all levels, sectors, people, and businesses to be self-conscious and well comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws in combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement.

The goal is to have 100% of cadres, civil servants, and public employees with professional ethics and high responsibility in the process of performing official duties, ensuring sufficient capacity, integrity, and not being influenced or manipulated; at the same time, strictly handle cases of cadres covering up and acting in violations with the spirit of "no compromise, no forbidden zones and no exceptions".
100% of agencies and units performing the task of combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement are equipped and apply science, technology, and modern equipment in managing, supervising, and controlling goods; meeting the requirements for finance, vehicles, technology, digital transformation, and databases to control goods traded on the market.
100% of e-commerce exchanges in the province, major social networks, press and television agencies sign commitments and ensure compliance with not doing business, advertising counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, infringing intellectual property rights; 100% of organizations and individuals producing and trading goods related to consumer health are propagated and disseminated legal regulations on counterfeit goods, intellectual property, specialized laws on standards, regulations, and quality for goods traded by organizations and individuals; 100% of consumers are propagated and disseminated legal education on protecting their rights.
