Kinh Mon Town People's Procuracy (Hai Duong province) has just coordinated with the Town People's Court to organize a first-instance trial to publicly draw experience from the criminal case of "Organizing illegal use of drugs" against 6 defendants: Tran Duc Manh, Mac Van Hoai, Lo Thi Loan, Lo Thi Van, Mong Van Thuy and Quang Thi Dinh.
According to the indictment of the Procuracy, on the evening of February 25, 2024, the defendants agreed to contribute money to buy drugs (in the form of candy) and rent a karaoke room to illegally use drugs together. After buying 4 pills, the group rented a singing room at Ngoc Han karaoke bar (Luu Thuong 2 residential area, Hiep An ward, Kinh Mon town, Hai Duong province) to sing and use.
At around 11pm the same day, the group continued to move to a nearby Hong Ngat karaoke bar, renting room 2 to use 3 more synthetic drug pills they had just purchased.
At about 1:30 a.m. on February 26, 2024, the working group of Kinh Mon Town Police (Hai Duong Province) conducted a surprise inspection and discovered the violation on the spot.
At the trial, the Procurator took the initiative to interrogate, clarify the nature and danger level of the offense, the causes, conditions of crimes as well as aggravating circumstances, mitigating the criminal liability of each defendant.
Kinh Mon Town People's Court sentenced the defendants: Tran Duc Manh to 8 years and 3 months in prison; Mac Van Hoai to 8 years in prison; Lo Thi Loan to 7 years and 9 months in prison; Lo Thi Van, Mong Van Thuy and Quang Thi Dinh each to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
