An Giang starts construction of police headquarters in border ward

An Giang - The project aims to ensure facilities, working conditions, food, accommodation and living for police officers and soldiers in border areas.

On August 30, An Giang Provincial Police organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Vinh Te Ward Police headquarters.

The project to build a new Vinh Te Ward Police headquarters is invested to ensure facilities, working conditions, food, accommodation and living for officers and soldiers, meeting the requirements of performing tasks to ensure security and order in border areas.

The project is built on an area of 10,040 m2, with an average height of 3 floors. The total investment of the project is 78.2 billion VND, including items: Working houses; barracks houses; collective kitchens and dining rooms; weapons warehouses; general warehouses; motorized vehicles; 2-wheeled vehicles and other auxiliary items.

Along with the construction system, the project is synchronously invested in equipment for work and living such as furniture, elevators, air conditioning systems, fire prevention and fighting, communication and security surveillance cameras. The expected construction time is 350 days.

The implementation of the project to build the Vinh Te Ward Police headquarters shows the concern of the Party, State, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, and local Party committees and authorities for the grassroots police force, especially the force directly performing tasks in border areas. The completed project will contribute to gradually completing and modernizing facilities, creating conditions for officers and soldiers to stabilize their workplaces and activities, and improve work efficiency.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Han - Director of An Giang Provincial Police requested relevant units to closely coordinate to ensure the progress, quality and technical requirements of the project. At the same time, he requested Vinh Te Ward Police to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactively grasp the situation, do a good job of preventing and combating crime, maintaining security and order, contributing to building a safe and stable border area.

Vinh Te Ward Police are the force that directly grasps the situation, manages the area, fights against crime and performs tasks to ensure security and order at the grassroots level. The investment in building a new headquarters, synchronously in terms of facilities and equipment, will contribute to improving working capacity, meeting task requirements in the new situation; and at the same time create conditions for officers and soldiers to feel secure in their work, stick to the area, and perform well the assigned tasks.
