On the afternoon of August 24, the inspection team of the Ministry of Public Security led by Major General Pham Thanh Hung, Commander of the Guard Command, Ministry of Public Security, Head of the inspection team, inspected the construction and rehearsal of plans to ensure security and safety of guard subjects operating in An Giang province in 2026.
In the first 6 months of 2026, An Giang Provincial Police have closely coordinated with departments, agencies, branches, military forces, border guards, customs and grassroots authorities, ensuring absolute security and safety for 84 delegations of Party and State leaders visiting and working in the locality. Immediately after receiving the notice from the Guard Command and the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Police proactively grasped the schedule, composition, and location of activities of guard subjects; and at the same time urgently developed plans, arranged forces and vehicles, organized surveys, pre-trips, security and safety inspections and deployed appropriate protection measures.
In particular, in the border area, the Police closely coordinate with border control forces, contributing to ensuring absolute security and safety during the time the guards operate in the locality.
Speaking at the inspection, Major General Pham Thanh Hung acknowledged the proactive and responsible spirit of An Giang Provincial Police in protecting Party and State leaders and international delegations. The Head of the inspection team requested the Provincial Police to continue reviewing and supplementing plans in a practical direction, clearly defining the tasks and responsibilities of each force; strengthen coordination, synergy and organize regular drills and exercises, especially for unexpected and complex situations, in order to improve on-site handling capabilities, not to be passive or surprised.
Colonel Dao Hai Dang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, affirmed that the Provincial Police will fully absorb the opinions of the Inspection Team, continue to improve the quality of guard work, ensure absolute security and safety for guard subjects operating in the area. In which, focus on doing a good job of grasping the situation, being proactive from early and far; improving the effectiveness of coordination between forces, especially in border areas and key areas; regularly inspecting, supplementing, and completing plans, ready to effectively handle any arising situations.
