Although it did not directly hit Ninh Binh province, storm No. 3 caused damage in the province such as: 544 hectares of rice were damaged in Yen Mo and Nho Quan districts; 65 hectares of vegetables were destroyed in Nho Quan, Yen Khanh districts and Ninh Binh city; many fruit trees and scattered trees were broken; livestock and aquaculture were not damaged.
Regarding the construction: 2 houses had their roofs blown off, 100m of fence collapsed, 1 electrical transformer station burned down, some power lines were broken causing local power outages, but have been repaired... Total estimated damage was 20 billion VND, there were no human casualties in the province.
Previously, to proactively respond to storm No. 3, from September 5, Ninh Binh province organized inspection teams led by leaders of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to inspect localities' preparations to respond to the storm according to the direction of the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee in official dispatches.
Ninh Binh province has called on all boats to take shelter in safe places, evacuate all workers outside the sea dyke safely; temporarily suspend the operation of ferry routes; the Department of Education and Training has notified children, students, and trainees to stay home from school; the whole province has harvested 200 hectares of early-season rice with the motto "Green at home is better than old in the field".
According to Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc - Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, local Party committees and authorities have been very proactive and active in leadership and direction to ensure unity and synchronization; the work of consulting, coordinating and collaborating among forces has been close, smooth and effective.
Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc said that although storm No. 3 did not directly affect Ninh Binh, the response to the storm showed that the entire political system had taken action to proactively and effectively prevent and combat the storm. Leadership and direction were carried out promptly.

The province has seriously implemented and deployed the Prime Minister's telegrams; the Provincial People's Committee has issued correct, accurate and appropriate telegrams for each time and practical task; the coordinated forces, police, army and related sectors have ensured readiness when situations arise.
"In particular, communication work at all three levels has been carried out quickly, promptly, extensively and comprehensively, thereby raising people's awareness and sense of responsibility in storm prevention and control. This is a valuable lesson for us to continue to promote and implement in the next tasks" - Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee concluded.
