On December 17, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Trung - Head of the My Quy Tay Border Guard Station (Tay Ninh province) - said that the unit had just discovered and arrested a subject who illegally crossed the national border, contributing to maintaining security and order in the border area.
Previously, at 11:00 p.m. on December 16, 2025, at landmark 186, about 150 m from the Vietnamese border, the My Quy Tay Border Guard Station Working Group, performing patrolling and controlling tasks, discovered a subject showing suspicious signs of crossing the national border but did not complete the entry procedures as prescribed.
Through inspection, the subject gave his name as Nguyen Van Trung Hieu (19 years old, residing in Huong Son commune, Ha Tinh province). The working group drew up a record and brought the subject to My Quy Tay Border Guard Station for further investigation and clarification.
Through quick investigation, Nguyen Van Trung Hieu admitted that he had illegally left the country to go to Cambodia to work in the Osamach 2 area around the end of August 2025. On December 16, 2025, the subject illegally entered Vietnam through a small route and was discovered and arrested by the Border Guard.
Currently, My Quy Tay Border Guard Station has reported to the Provincial Border Guard Command and coordinated with the Department of Professional Affairs to review and verify the subject's violation to handle it in accordance with the provisions of law.
