On May 20, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police issued a decision to prosecute the accused and an arrest warrant for Ngo Trung Tien (born in 1999, residing in Bau Lam commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate and clarify the act of property theft. The decisions were approved by the People's Procuracy of Region 14.
Previously, on May 4, Mr. V.D.N (born in 1975, residing in Xuyen Moc commune) drove a motorbike with license plate 72H5 - 6179 to the cashew garden area in Phu Tai hamlet, Hoa Hiep commune. However, in just a moment of carelessness, Mr. N's motorbike was stolen by thieves.
On May 10, Mr. N went to Hoa Hiep Commune Police to report the motorbike theft. Upon receiving the information, Hoa Hiep Commune Police quickly intervened to investigate. After verifying, functional forces invited subject Ngo Trung Tien to work.
During the struggle, Ngo Trung Tien confessed to the act of stealing motorbike license plate 72H5 - 6179 in the cashew garden area on May 4. After that, the subject removed and threw the license plate into the drainage ditch, and the vehicle was used for commuting.
Currently, functional agencies are consolidating the file to handle the subject according to legal regulations.
