The opening of the 2025 Spring of Love Program at the National Children's Hospital was an emotional performance by pediatric cancer patients that left a deep impression on the attendees. Despite facing great health challenges, the children confidently stepped onto the stage, bringing with them bright smiles and clear voices. The sweet melodies, meaningful lyrics, and the outstanding efforts of the pediatric patients created a warm atmosphere, full of determination and hope.
This performance is not only a special spiritual gift to all the audience but also a meaningful reminder of the power of love and solidarity. The endless applause from the audience is a testament to the emotion and admiration for the extraordinary determination of the children. This is the first time many children with cancer have experienced the feeling of standing on a big stage, confidently expressing their talent and joy, despite the difficulties caused by the disease.
Sitting below the stage were children in wheelchairs and children with IV needles still hanging from their hands.
Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hai - Deputy Director of the National Children's Hospital said that currently, the hospital receives about 4,000-4,500 outpatients and more than 2,000 inpatients every day. Most of the children are from remote provinces and have serious illnesses, facing many economic difficulties.
Therefore, every time Tet comes, the Hospital calls for the help of sponsors and philanthropists to join hands to take care of the children being treated with material and spiritual gifts, in order to help them have more motivation to fight the disease, and soon return to their families and friends to welcome the New Year and study.
This year's program has presented 2,000 sick children with many gifts through zero-dong booths for children and families to choose from.
