On July 24, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and provincial armed forces led by Major General Nguyen Van Han, Director of An Giang Provincial Police, visited and presented gifts to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in Ha Tien and To Chau wards. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
The delegation visited and presented gifts to 4 typical wounded soldiers, including: Ms. Cao Thi Cuc, Mr. Le Hoang Tam, Mr. Nguyen Van Su and Mr. Ly Binh Cao.
At the families, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Major General Nguyen Van Han cordially inquired about the health and life situation; and expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of wounded soldiers, martyrs and people with meritorious services in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. At the same time, he wished the families to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, educate their children about patriotism, dedication and responsibility to their homeland and country; actively participate in movements and activities in the locality.

The gifts presented show the concern and sharing of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and provincial armed forces with policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution; and at the same time show the ethical principles of "When drinking water, remember the source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree" of the nation.
Major General Nguyen Van Han affirmed that the work of "Gratitude", caring for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services to the revolution is always concerned and implemented by the province through many practical activities. This is not only a responsibility but also a deep feeling and gratitude of today's generation to those who sacrificed and contributed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
In the coming time, levels, sectors, localities and the provincial armed forces will continue to pay attention to effectively implementing policies for people with meritorious services, taking care of policy families; thereby spreading good human values, fostering patriotic traditions and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
