Previously, due to dangerous weather conditions, many fishing vessels in the Central region, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai areas, were continuously in trouble at sea.
Previously, the fishing boat TTH-91235-TS of Mr. Huynh Giao (Hue) was sunk by large waves in the sea about 16 nautical miles south of Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai. Mr. Mai Chanh's fishing boat TTH-99777-TS promptly rescued 3 crew members. However, on the way to bring the crew to shore, the TTH-99777-TS ship had a broken steering wheel due to high waves and had to drift in the waters of Quang Ngai. Ship TTH-94649-TS came to assist but could not be towed due to bad weather. Finally, the 7 crew members on the TTH-99777-TS ship had to move to the TTH-94649-TS ship to safety.
On April 1, fishing boat TTH-94649-TS promptly brought 7 crew members in distress at sea to De Gi fishing port, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province safely.
Vinasarcom recommends that fishermen closely monitor weather developments, equip themselves with adequate safety equipment and have response plans when encountering incidents at sea.
